1. Neutrals
This café literally represents its name. Neutrals was designed uniquely to be a rough-cut concrete café from the walls up, down to the flooring - even the chairs are concrete!

Sticking with a neutral gray, the plant-filled café adds a touch of color alongside natural and warm indoor lighting. This lifts the simplicity of its entire space, quickly becoming more serene and welcoming to customers. Needless to say, it is an eye-catching café and with a space that wide, trendy Instagram Reels can be easily done here. 😉
That ain’t all in store from Neutrals! They have a range of fast-selling items on their menu such as Scotch Egg Sandos, any of their different kinds of Sando, Whey Protein Latte (great for fitness fanatics), and many more.

2. Cream Coffee Stand
This alluring, cute, and small café in the heart of the city is perfect for quick, to-go fixes. It is situated by a pedestrian walkway and follows soft earth tones as it has an almost dirty cream color on the outside while inside is mostly white. The café is also built with glass walls, making it easy for passers by to comprehend from a mile away that it is a café.

Their specialty is coffee, but Gula Melaka Latte is fundamental to try at least once. Small bites are also served, namely their Ham and Cheese Croissant. Best of all, and this I’m sure all Malaysians will appreciate; 10% discount on coffee during rainy days!

3. Halal Planet Coffee Alam Budiman
Be it a catch up with friends or a business meeting, Halal Planet Coffee Alam Budiman is just the place to do so! The wide atmosphere and choice of color palette throughout the café is calming and welcoming. With one of their walls having a large quote about coffee, making it a designated space for coffee lovers to take a snap for the ‘Gram!

Meanwhile, people are allowed to freely choose whether they would like to sit indoors with the aircon which is suitable for on a sunny day, or outdoors at the café patio where customers can enjoy nature and its breeze. Either way, both are just picture perfect.

4. The Roast Things / CREAM
Operating since 2014 by The Roast Things, Chiam Tow Jin and Ving Lim have roasted coffees for multiple cafes in Malaysia and even sell their own retail coffee packs. They have a simple philosophy they abide by, which is to make honest and good coffee.

Hence why they do things differently while effectively sticking by what they believe, which is not to over roast coffees, and this simply makes them stand out amongst their competitors. This can additionally be the reason they build bonds with coffee farms, so as to further understand various coffees better, leading to better outcomes of their own production.

Today, their café Cream has been developed as an extension of their dedication to coffee where they share their expertise and creations with like-minded individuals, irrespective of beginner or professional level. Sandwiches are complimentary offers if preferred.

5. Texture by C3 Lab
Co-founded by two world class pastry chefs, Chef Lawrence Cheong and Chef Chong Ko Wai in 2019, their love and passion for fine pastries and chocolate inspired them to innovate and establish Texture by C3 Lab's own uniqueness in the market.

Their modern, industrial café concept is an added sight for sore eyes as the space has been well thought of in its use of different textures, as well as the use of lighting by mixing cold and warm.

6. Tanamera Coffee
Established in 2013 by passionate Indonesian, Dini Aryani Criddle with the aim of casting attention onto Indonesian coffee by using 100% Indonesian coffee beans which are often sweet, fruity, and smooth, Tanamera Coffee has worked closely with farmers from Indonesia itself and fully immersed themselves in every process from planting to brewing, solely to provide the best authentic Indonesian coffee for all.

In 2019, they were the first to ship Arabica Specialty Green Beans to Moscow. In 2020, they opened their first International outlet at Central Business District, Singapore and later at The Metropolis, Singapore. As of this year, there are 6 Tanamera Coffee stores in Singapore!

Fun Fact: Tanamera Coffee competed in Melbourne International Coffee Expo during 2015 to 2016 and won the Champion Roaster Award where they beat 800 entries worldwide! Today, they have accumulated 51 awards for their coffee beans. How fantastic is that?!
