FAQ - Engrave

Which products are eligible for engraving?
Engraving is available for selected Montigo drinkware, including:

  • Ace Bottle (Micro, Mini, Medium, Mega)

  • Roamer Tumbler

  • Bubble Bottle (Regular, Large)

  • Sense Coffee Cup (Regular, Large)

  • Sense Straw

  • Essential Tumbler

  • City Flask

Can all collections be engraved?
Most Montigo drinkware collections are eligible for engraving, subject to eligible product types.
Exceptions include:

  • Limited Edition drinkware featuring exclusive, limited-run prints (e.g. Retro Reel, Palette Parade Limited Edition)
  • Licensed collaboration drinkware (e.g. Toy Story Inseparable Pals, Miffy Daily, Disney Classics, Disney Tsum Tsum, Disney Cats, and Winnie the Pooh Collection)

What engraving placement options are available?
Our online personalisation service offers flexible engraving placement options, allowing you to choose how your engraving appears on the drinkware.

  • Position
    Select engraving placement on either the front or back of the drinkware.
  • Orientation (Text Engraving Only)
    Text can be engraved in either:
    - Horizontal
    - Vertical
  • Size
    Icon Engraving
    Default size: Large (35mm × 35mm)
    • Small (S): 20% smaller than default (28mm x 28mm)
    • Medium (M): 10% smaller than default (31.5mm x 31.5mm)
  • Vertical Placement
    You may adjust the vertical position of your engraving within the available print area on the selected side of the drinkware.

Important note: The final outcome may have slight variations depending on the selected text/icon design.

What are the engraving text guidelines?
You may engrave up to 10 characters using Roman letters (A–Z), numbers (0–9), and spaces only.
Special characters and non-Latin scripts (e.g. Chinese, Arabic, and Japanese) are not supported.
To ensure the best engraving outcome, each drinkware has a predefined engraving area. As a result, the text size may be adjusted automatically based on your engraving text.
Important note: Vulgar, offensive, or inappropriate content is not allowed.

How does the engraving appear on the product?
All engraving is created using a precision laser process, resulting in a permanent finish on your drinkware.
Please note that the final colour and texture may vary slightly depending on the bottle colour and material.

Does engraving affect the bottle’s performance?
No. Laser engraving is a precise, non-invasive process that does not affect the quality, insulation, or performance of your bottle.
It is designed to create a permanent finish for text and icon engraving, adding a refined and personal touch to your drinkware.

What is the delivery time for my order?
Estimated processing and delivery timelines for orders containing personalised drinkware are as follows:

  • West Malaysia: 3–5 business days

  • East Malaysia: 8–10 business days

Can I combine different types of personalisation on one drinkware?
Each drinkware item has the following personalisation rules:

  • You may include 1 text engraving + 1 icon engraving on the same drinkware

  • Multiple text engravings are not allowed

  • Multiple icon engravings are not allowed

  • Engraving and colour print cannot be selected together for the same drinkware

Can I change or cancel my personalisation after placing an order?
Once an order is placed, personalisation details (including engraving and colour print selections) cannot be changed or amended. Please ensure all details are correct before completing your purchase.
Personalised products are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds due to a change of mind. Any warranty claims will be assessed in accordance with Montigo’s warranty policy.

Which products are eligible for Colour Print?
Colour Print is available for selected Montigo drinkware, including:

Most drinkware collections under the Ace Bottle Series and Roamer Tumbler are eligible for Colour Print, subject to eligible product types.
Exceptions include:

  • Limited Edition drinkware featuring exclusive, limited-run prints (e.g. Retro Reel, Palette Parade Limited Edition)

What Colour Print options are available?
Our online personalisation service offers flexible Colour Print options, allowing you to choose how your design appears on the drinkware.

  • Position
    Select Colour Print placement on either the front or back of the drinkware.

  • Colour
    Choose from 10 colour options for Colour Print (Text).

  • Size
    Colour Print - Icon
    Default size: Large (50mm × 50mm)

    • Small (S): 20% smaller than default (40mm x 40mm)

    • Medium (M): 10% smaller than default (45mm x 45mm)

  • Vertical Placement (Icon only)
    You may adjust the vertical position of your icon within the available print area on the selected side of the drinkware.

Important note: 

  • Orientation and vertical placement for Colour Print – Text are preset and cannot be adjusted to ensure the best possible print outcome. 

  • Colour Print text and icons cannot be applied on the same side of the drinkware item.

  • The final outcome may have slight variations depending on the selected text/icon design.

What are the Colour Print – Text guidelines?

How does the Colour Print appear on the product?
Colour Print is a customisation method where designs are printed directly onto the bottle surface using UV-cured ink. The ink is instantly dried using ultraviolet light, creating vibrant and detailed prints.
Please note that the final colour and texture may vary slightly depending on the bottle colour and material.

Is Colour Print permanent?
Colour Print is designed for long-lasting use. However, unlike engraving, it sits on the surface of the bottle and may gradually wear over time depending on usage and care.

Will the Colour Print fade or peel off?
With proper care, Colour Print remains vibrant for a long time. However, excessive friction, harsh cleaning methods, or dishwasher use may cause fading, scratching, or peeling over time.

Is Colour Print waterproof?
Yes, Colour Print is water-resistant for normal daily use. Hand washing is strongly recommended to maintain print quality.

How long is the warranty for Colour Print and what’s covered?
The Colour Print warranty is valid for 7 days from the date of delivery. It covers issues such as fading or peeling under normal use.
It does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper care, or customer handling.
